Pay It Forward!

Have you heard about the Pay it Forward bloggers? I am cutting and pasting the following from Sarah's blog, from whom I will be getting a little handmade item.

If you are one of the first 3 people to comment on this post I shall send you something handmade by me which shall arrive at your abode in the next 12 months. If it doesn't you have written permission to publicly denounce me as a liar and a cheat :)

My understanding of the 'rules' are that if you are one of the 'winners' you then have to set up your own Pay It Forward handmade giveaway to the first 3 that leave you a comment on your blog and I think you also have to use the PIF heart picture in your post.

HOWEVER, I'm with the others on this one, please leave a comment even if you don't blog and if you don't feel you could hand make a gift then maybe you could do someone a good turn or make a small donation to a charity. Whatever. Just leave your comment.

Okay, is that clear? Basically, someone, somewhere in the world started this off, and each time you receive an item from a PIF blogger, you commit to Pay It Forward three times over. It doesn't have to be handmade, and I think you can send more than 3 items if you're up to it. In fact, I have six sets of my little item, so I'm tempted to say the first three International commentors, and the first three UK based ones will each get one. Just let me know in your comment where you are from. I will contact you for your addresses later.

Wedding Favours

My sister-in-law is getting married in August in the most beautiful country setting. I can't wait to see everything come together, her colour scheme is gorgeous, her dress is going to be exquisite, the table decorations are going to be so pretty...and her favours are these little delicate clay hearts. They're not finished yet - after we made 85 on the weekend we ran out of clay, so I brought the cutter and buttons home to make some more with the clay I had. We rolled a piece of broidery anglaise lace over them to give the detail and the vintage mother of pearl buttons add such a sweet touch. She still has to decide on whether or not to paint the edges in a vintage colour, and they'll be hung by little ribbons in the vintage colours of the wedding. I'm thinking this clay is going to have to be the starting point of my Pay it Forward give away. Watch this space to see what I'm talking about...

A New House Guest (or two, or three or four?)

I am so excited - I had hung this little birdhouse under the conifer at the bottom of the garden, but it was a bit lost. So I moved it to the fence between us and our neighbour. Pretty soon, the blue tits took an interest in it, but then so did the cats. So I moved it to the hanging basket hook on the patio, and put up a piece of trellis to block off the way for the cats. After a few weeks it seems the blue tits don't mind the move and have taken a new interest in it. I just saw this little one going to and fro with something white (it looks suspiciously like polystyrene) to make a nest. There is some of it caught in the cobweb behind the house. Oh wouldn't it be lovely to have some baby birds nesting in our little birdhouse?

M.I.A

I have abandoned my blog in the most complete sense of the word. I've been pretty busy, not with photography; just life and friends and fun, so I apologise to anyone who's been checking in and finding nothing new! I haven't done anything for the POTD challenge either, guess I didn't do to well if I've already stopped and we're only into March.
I had a new (3) page spread in Scrapbook Inspirations, which has also inspired me to get some more pages done that have been on the back burner for ages. I will shoot the page this weekend and update this post with a pic...
In the meantime, do you think I should cut my hair? I'm thinking it will be nice for summer to have a shorter do, all I seem to do with my hair at this length is tie it in a ponytail anyway.

As promised, here's a snap of my page as it appears in the April issue of Scrapbook Inspirations magazine! I love how crystal clear it looks in print, and thanks to some very clever editing they actually made my words sound good!
