Day Two
The beginning of Advent is when the preparations for Christmas really begin - the festive menu is planned, gifts are chosen and wrapped, carols sung, cards are written and posted and houses are decorated. Have you put your tree up yet? I'm usually right there on the first day of December, but I have decided to wait until the weekend this year, as it is so much more fun to do it with the kids. Their school day is so long, they're too knackered to do anything more than play when they get home.

Mine forgot their advent calendars today! We don't put our tree up until just a few days before Christmas day, as we like to get a real live tree and they drop by Christmas if put too soon.
